This course will help beginner insurance personnel understand the insuring process, procedures, history and facts surrounding writing the flood policy for a customer. This course could also be a good refresher for those that have been in the business but have not reviewed the policy in some time or for those needing the 2-year re-certification so that the agency is part of the NFIP referral program on FloodSmart. We will also take a detail look at the flood insurance policy. This should be looked at as a pre-requisite to Flood 102. This course is also designed to meet FEMA’s minimum training and education requirements as stated in section 207 of the Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2004 for all insurance agents who sell Standard Flood Insurance Policies issued through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
